MORNING:

Community Service Project: Beach Cleanup on Okaloosa Island

Join us as we take part in a beach cleanup on Okaloosa Island. The event is being coordinated by Jackson Guard (the Natural Resources Office at Eglin AFB), which partners with volunteer groups to protect our coastal environment. This is a great chance to reconnect with classmates, do something meaningful for our community, and be part of the effort to protect our coastlines.

Where we'll work: We'll begin our beach cleanup at Test Site A-3, which is located on Okaloosa Island, right off Highway 98, between Airman’s Beach Access and Matterhorn Beach Access (get directions on Google Maps here). Look for the building with the tall metal structure. We will be at the gate to direct parking beginning at 8:30 AM.

What to Expect: We’ll focus on removing litter from the beach, but we'll stay off the dunes. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. We will have an ATV to move supplies and heavy trash bags as needed.

What to Bring: Water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, bug spray, towel, and weather-appropriate clothes. Shoes are needed when you arrive at the site, but optional once we’re on the sand.

Registration is required.

Share Your Class Memories

Be Part of the Celebration

We want this reunion to celebrate not just where we are today, but how far we’ve come—and everything that brought us here. That includes the bonds we built, the chapters we shared, and the memories that still make us smile.

As part of Saturday evening’s Signature Reunion Soirée, we’ll be featuring nostalgic photos and videos projected throughout the event in a series of montages and special tributes.

Whether you’re attending in person or joining us in spirit, all classmates are invited to contribute. We’d love to include your memories in this celebration of our shared journey.

What to Share

Send us your favorite photos or videos of:

  • Everyday moments from high school—hallway laughs, classroom antics, sports games, formal dances, club activities, field trips, performances graduation, and more.

  • Then versus now, from high school days or senior year to today (either solo, with classmates, or with your family),

  • Past reunions or mini meetups with classmates over the years.

  • The classmates we’ve lost for inclusion our In Memoriam segment.

  • Memorabilia, such as T-shirts, letters, yearbook doodles, ticket stubs, etc.

GOT Lots to Share?

Our submission form supports up to five photo and video attachments at a time. If you need to share more, you can also email us a download link (iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) to admin@nhsclassof2005.org. Thanks!
